How to choose your generator?

What type of Harpelec generator:

B2+ or BS?

The choice will be made based on the number of hornets attacking the hive,
the BS having a higher frequency of electric arcs,
choose this one if your hive has more than 5 hornets attacking simultaneously.

Option N (day/night)
B2+N or BSN?

Option N corresponds to the additional automatic Day/Night function which allows the generator to turn off at nightfall and turn back on at dawn.
This allows it especially if you use a battery to save its charge.
For the choice between B2+ or BS, see the paragraph above.

Typical diagram of 4 harps powered by a generator connected to the 1st and a booster to the 4th. When the insect touches 2 wires, the generator and the booster discharge onto it.

The photovoltaic panel will have a power of 50 watts in 12 or 18 volts for good efficiency. The photovoltaic panel is connected directly to the high voltage generator.

The panel must be facing south, at a 40° angle towards the sky.

Recommended positioning of the harps in relation to the hive,

To complete the defense of the hive, wrap the base or hive support with 5mm mesh netting, and completely wrap the hive with chicken wire (mesh approximately 3cm) in the form of a bell, so that it can be easily removed for visits.

Place a drowning tray under the harps, to be filled either with soapy water with glycerin, or with water and cheap cooking oil, the oil, lighter than water, is positioned on the surface, prevents evaporation, prevents bees from coming to drink there and sticks the hornets that fall into it.

PROTECTION OF CHICKEN COOPS

Wiring diagram for electric fences

anti foxes and badgers ( see the video )

Harpelec provides you with the high voltage generator,

and if you wish,

the pack with the generator + the booster and the charge controller

For optimum protection, we recommend this pack and a photovoltaic panel (link to merchant site)
